Update

Whats going on

Many of you have noticed that I have been a little quiet over on my facebook page, but rest assured I have been busy behind the scenes. I have been and viewed some office space, which I'm hoping to rent out next year! This would mean I would have my own little space to get creative.

I have been busy working on my business plan, and a cash flow forecast which I need to secure some funding to pay for a deposit and a few bits of equipment to set up the studio.
Once I am open, I will have spaces Mon-Fri between 10am-2pm which allows me up to 4 hours for each newborn photo shoot. I will also be offering an in house viewing session, where you can come back to me withing a few weeks to view all your edited images, and hopefully order a few lol
I will have a few product samples hanging on the wall where you can see and feel the quality of true professional products! Canvases, desk frames and box frames all made to the highest standard.

I have soo much planned :)

Happy 1st Birthday Elliott

Yesterday I had the chance to take photos of an amazing little boy, who was celebrating his 1st Birthday.

I first met Elliott's mummy Ashley, back at my old work place! and we became good friends. I was over the moon when she said she was expecting.

What seemed like the longest pregnancy going, her little man finally arrived and to date he has been the best behaved baby by far! Once he had a full tummy of milk he was happy for me to pose him in a variety of positions.

How time flies, Elliott Is now 1, and loves to toddle around! In fact it was hard to keep him still lol
But that's just part of the fun.

Below are images from his latest photo shoot, as you can see he definitely had fun, and made loads of mess (which Is what we wanted)!

Now comes the not so fun part of cleaning up! I don't think a cupboard or wall escaped his little hands lol

Please feel free to leave a comment below :)

Kacey

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting 14 day old kacey. Her mum had replied to a model call on my facebook page.

I was looking for a newborn baby, so that I could try a few new things, and practise correct lighting. I am starting to collect images together for my next mentor me panel, which will recieve critique from top uk photographers! This will inturn help me to improve in specified areas.
Here is Kacey being a star!

Prince Harry

Meet Harry, perhaps one of the most laid back babies yet! After taking a while to settle, Harry fell into a deep sleep, and let me move him from one pose to another without disturbing.

I just love the "Hungry Caterpillar" critter set which was made by a very lovely lady called Mary! She is very talented, and makes most of my hats you will see in posts.

Hope

Precious Little Hope

Hope was the teeniest baby to date at just 5lb, but was such a delight to take photos of....Infact she came for 2 photoshoots with me, the 1st was the trickiest shoot yet, which involed a motorbike!

The bottom image was one from that shoot and is one of my personal favourites.

New beginnings

After much talk about getting this blog started, I am finally here!

Hello everyone......This is new to me so you may have to bare with me until I find my feet. I have set up this blog to follow my progress from being a "mummy with a camera" to a full time professional photographer!
I have already had some practise with newborns, (which Is what I hope to specialise in) and have attended a wonderful newborn posing workshop which focused around the safety of posing newborns during a session.
Following on from this I joined the SWPP (The society of wedding and portrait photographers) and submitted a panel of 20 images into their mentor me program. I am glad to say that following on from this I was awarded my Licentiateship qualification!
